UK Supreme Court on wrongful acts of the UK in fight against international terrorism

On 17 January 2017, the UK Supreme Court rendered several judgments dealing with claims alleging wrongful acts by the UK in its fight against international terrorism. The list of cases is available on the Supreme Court’s website:

The Court notably found that the torture of Abdel Hakim Belhaj breached rights enshrined in the Magna Carta and that a claim against the government was not barred by rules of state immunity and the foreign act of state doctrine. See the Summary:
